Marino Basso, born June 1, 1945 in Caldogno, in the province of Vicenza, Veneto, is a former Italian racing cyclist, who competed professionally from 1966 to 1978.
The Italian rider is best known for winning the 1972 World Championship Road Race in front of Franco Bitossi of Italy and Cyril Guimard of France.
In addition, Basso also won the Points Jersey in the 1971 Giro d’Italia.
