The "Veldiv" or "Vel d'Hiv", short for "Vélodrome d'Hiver", was a very popular cycling track in Paris. In fact, it was probably the most popular cycling track in the world, so it was logical that it had a game named after it (it had more than one, actually).

This is the classic "Veldiv" game, of which many versions can be found. There are four numbered "canonical" versions, released as nº0, nº1, nº2 and nº3.
